The National Defence Academy is an iconic institution and hallmark of global excellence in the sphere of military education.NDA is conducted twice a year by UPSC in two stages: Written examimation and SSB Interview.Candidates who will get selected in this round will be called for SSB Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test.

Practice Previous Year Papers

First and foremost since time is short candidates should focus on solving maximum previous year papers for getting an insight into what type of questions are asked and what might come in the paper .


Solve as many Questions as you can


Candidates need to brush up their basics of concepts and they must try solving as many questions as possible .Take multiple mock tests , Practice frequently asked questions .

Effective Management of Time

Effective management of time is very important . Candidates need to focus on solving all questions within the stipulated time.The trick is to have such a stronghold on time management that you even get the time to revise your responses 

Practice important topics

For Mathematics candidates need to focus on Calculus, Complex Numbers, Quadratic Equations, Permutation and Combination, Probability, Binomial Theorem and Trigonometry.

For Biology focus on Digestion and Respiratory System


The Union Legislature in Polity , Climatology in Geography , Mole concept and Organic in Chemistry, Optics, Electricity & Magnetism in Physics will fetch you the maximum marks .

In History focus on the Modern History specially the Gandhian Phase .

Since there is negative marking candidates need to be careful while answering the questions .


This is the most crucial time so don't let things distract you . Follow a strict timetable .Solve as many papers as you can . Do not eat outside and take care of your health .

Lastly do not stress out before the examination . Take complete rest a day before examination and don't stress yourself out .
